taken from sohh.comFour members of T.I.'s entourage were involved in a Cincinnati highway shooting early Wednesday morning (May 3), leaving one dead and the other three wounded.
According to Cincinnati Police, the Atlanta MC, who was in town to perform and promote his new album King at Bogart's nightclub, headed out to Club Ritz for an after-hours party after his show.
At around 3am, a group of unidentified people, believed to be from Cincinnati, got into a heated dispute with T.I.'s entourage after money was thrown in their direction by one the rapper's associates who was on stage.
"It was supposed to be for the ladies," a witness told the Cincinnati Enquirer. "But it (the money) was hitting the guys in the face and they were like, 'We got money' so why are you throwing money at us?'"
The disagreement then moved outside the club, where T.I. told his entourage to get into vans and leave. According to the witness, the unidentified group of people followed the vans in a large vehicle after firing a shot at the club's parking lot.
Shots were later fired into two vans carrying T.I.'s entourage which were driving on southbound on I-75. Three men and a woman were wounded from the shooting. The woman was traveling in one van, while the three men were in the other. Both vans reportedly belong to T.I., who police confirmed was not injured .
All four victims were transported to University Hospital. According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, one of the victims, a man with bandages on his arms, was escorted out of University Hospital before 7am by a police officer. The names and conditions of the victims have not been released.
The shooting led to the closing of the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 where Cincinnati Police are presently looking for evidence. At press time, representatives for T.I. were unavailable for comment.
