The Stain - Deep Beneath EP
Preview Listening:
1. Battle Of The Quarks
2. Clouds Above The Highlands
3. Sparkless
Supported by: Hernan Cattaneo, Miss Nine, Suzy Solar, Michael & Levan and many more
The busy Jetlag Digital label hits us with their latest EP, coming from the interestingly titled artist, The Stain. The recent release schedule from Jetlag has been a who's who of digital progressive artists; hopefully this release can keep up the good work!
Part 1 of the "Deep Beneath EP" is called The Battle of The Quarks. This tune is nicely put together and what you'd call a slow progressive burner. Sounds and sweeps are steadily added to help the track build to a cool crescendo. A very good start the EP indeed.
The smartly titled Clouds Above The Highlands is more metallic in its structure. As the tune evolves there are some lovely soundscapes on show, a probable favourite tune on the EP.
Completing the EP is Sparkless, another very solid atmospheric progressive track. Again the production values are strong on this track, and this tune could fit in well in any progressive set.
In summary, it can be said that this release from Jetlag Digital is something that should be of great interest to progressive lovers worldwide. You'd be a fool not to check it out!
